Refund and Cancellation Policy

MilkDesk sells monthly plans. You can cancel at any time. This page says exactly what happens to your money when you do.

Who takes the payment

Paid plans are sold through Paddle, who act as the merchant of record for JHEN-KE LIN. Paddle takes the payment, handles the tax and issues your receipt, so a refund is paid out by them. Their buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside this policy.

Cancelling

Open Plan & billing and press Manage billing, which opens Paddle's portal, or write to support@nycu.ai and we will do it for you.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not cut the plan off on the spot: your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account returns to Free after that.

Nothing is deleted when a plan ends. Your desks, files and annotations stay where they are. The Free limits simply apply again, so until you are back inside them you may not be able to add more desks, objects or files, and only one of your desks can be live at a time.

Refunds when you cancel

We do not refund the unused part of a period you have already paid for. You keep the plan until that period ends, which is what the payment bought.

When we will refund

Write to us and we will arrange it with Paddle if:

  • you have a statutory right to cancel, such as the 14-day right consumers have in the EU and the UK, and you use it within that window;
  • you were charged twice for the same period;
  • you were charged after cancelling;
  • something on our side made your paid plan unusable for a meaningful part of a period and we could not fix it in a reasonable time.

When we usually will not

  • a renewal you meant to cancel and did not;
  • a period you paid for but did not use;
  • an upgrade you changed your mind about after using the larger limits.

Ask anyway. We look at these one at a time and we would rather hear from you than not, but we are not obliged to refund them.

If a payment fails

Paddle retries a failed renewal for a short while and will email you. If it keeps failing, the account moves back to Free. You are not charged for a period you did not get.

If we change the price

A price change applies from your next renewal and never to a period you have already paid for. If you do not want the new price, cancel before that renewal.

How to ask for a refund

Email support@nycu.ai from the address on the account, and include the invoice or receipt number from Paddle. We aim to reply within five working days. You can also ask Paddle directly using the link on your receipt.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page removes a right you have under consumer law where you live. Where that law says something different from this policy, the law wins.
